Tal began her professional career when she was fresh from the Israel Defense Forces, with a children's musical video tape that she played a witch who was evil. Then she appeared as an actress in a television commercial. She then got the lead part in Lihiyot Kochav. She was given two offers for roles in Israeli TV shows while filming the film. The first show was Tzimerim featuring a family operating a small hotel. The second was HaPijamot which was about a band who is determined to succeed in the real-world. It was her first appearance in the 3 seasons on the show, then later as a guest actor, giving Tal a chance to showcase her talent as a singer. She was only the lead character in the first 3 seasons but she did appear in several episodes of the 4th season.
