Katherine Heigl discusses the ways that growing up as a child within a "white bubble" affected the way she parented her adopted family of multiracial origins. Katherine Heigl, the "Firefly Lane" as well as "Grey's Anatomy" star shared in a recent interview in regards to skin tone, she didn't care how she looked like, but after she spoke to her older sister, whom she adoptive from South Korea, she realized that society was different when it came to both of them. "I wanted to know Meg whether she felt different when she went out with our parents and those who went out on her own. Meg replied, "Oh, yes, every all the time! Heigl told parents: "That was when I was aware of how foolish I had caused me to feel." She admitted to becoming angry but felt she needed use that anger in order to assist the adopted children she has. Heigl has a four year old son with her 13-year husband, Josh Kelley. They were adopted by Nancy Leigh from South Korea aged 12 in 2009, followed by Adalaide whom was eight years old young and Black in 2012.
