Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actor who became famous in the role of Buffy Summers. Her other parts include Rebecca Becky Granger, in the Telefilm Nightingales and the short-lived NBC show of the same name; Erica Paget in Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. Being a native of California she was attracted to acting since she was young. She started working in the industry of advertising and appeared in a variety of commercials. Her screen debut was in an episode of NBCs comedy sitcom, It's Your Move in 1984. Following that, in 1986's love story Pretty in Pink, Swan made her first appearance on the big screen. Swan is known for her blonde voice with a breathless hairlisp as well as a breathless voice. In recent years, she's started playing side characters. Flowers in the Attic won her the Young Artist Award in the category of Best Young Actress in Horror or Mystery Motion Picture in 1989.
