April Lockhart
April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She started with guitar and piano in seventh grade. This sparked curiosity. When she was in seventh grade, April began taking guitar and piano lessons. It sparked her interest in writing songs. When she was 14 April devoted a great deal of time in writing song ideas and practicing her music. The songwriting began alongside her father at home in NY and LA soon after. April featured other topics in her hit song, Take my Hand. These topics were for friends that dealt with things like peer pressure issues or even teenage suicide thoughts. Lockhart is a well-known lifestyle influencer as well as being a partner with clean beauty brands Ilia and YSL, has cultivated her own fan base. Her disability is a part of her personality, but it is not the whole picture. So, Lockhart's Instagram account isn't afraid to talk about her disability, but it's not focused on the issue as well. What message is it trying to convey? We are all more than the physical person we are. Our identities are complicated and encompass a variety of dimensions. Lockhart tells Lockhart via video "I do not believe that disability is what defines me. I don't intend to influence disabilities because I've got plenty to offer." This doesn't interfere with my everyday life. Everything is normal and I've learned to adapt. Because it's my identity, it's something that's worthy of discussion. Lockhart who is an inspiration for self-acceptance in general and is currently on a lengthy journey to achieve it. Lockhart admits to having been through a series of phases in her body, and felt uncomfortable in certain situations wearing outfits that showcased her arms. It's her choice to wear what she'd like, and is proud to share photos of herself dressed in her favorite outfits. Self-love, she says is a journey. It's hard to say whether you'll get to the final stage. It's a journey, I'm sure that you never reach your destination. It's important to have people in your life who know and can relate to your situation. They will be the ones asking you: What do you worry about?
